About
Patrick Cunningham, Actor
Patrick Cunningham was born on August 21, 1960 in New York City, the fifth child to Patrick Cunningham, an acclaimed attorney and Mary Cunningham (nee O’Donoghue) a teacher who earned her law degree when she decided she was ready for a new challenge. Clearly her desire for a challenge was passed along to him. Patrick spent his formative years going to school in the city where he got his first taste of acting in the musical The Mikado. He continued that experience and with his growing love of acting in his high school, he landed the lead role, on what amounts to a dare by the theater director, of Jabez Stone in The Devil and Daniel Webster. This was also a memorable experience when he discovered during a scene, that a real pie serving as a prop from one show to the next had been eaten, and when he became aware of this during the performance, he was momentarily stunned and forgot his next line, but he managed to get through that scene in one piece.
